Makers of the popular Deskstar series of Hard Drives, Hitachi, have released a new 15,000 RPM drive with a whopping 450GB split over 4 platters.

It's also got 16mb of cache and an average latency of 2ms. Unfortunately this is designed a server drive, but here's hoping for a desktop version sometime in the future.
