If science fiction films have taught us anything, it's that using massively complex machinery to attempt something clever, always results in catastrophy. Now, in real life, some clever bods at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research are planning to turn on their latest creation, which some say, could create a black hole.The idea behind the device is to fire particles at tremendous speeds round it's 28km ring. This should allow for near light speed particle movement, which the scientists hope, will give them a glimpse of dark matter.
