Blizzard's most recent release, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King has gone on to break all 24 hours sales records, selling an unprecidented - even for a WoW expansion - 2.8 million copies during it's first day on the shelves.

It was recently announced that most of the new content had been completed by a few of the top level guilds within 72 hours. No word of how many of the millions of new players have made it through it though.

This is the 2nd expansion released for Blizzard's World of Warcraft, the first being The Burning Crusade.
