Honorable Mention: Rez

Rez

This is the only game on this list not here because of the game itself, but because of a bundled accessory with the Japanese version. The premise of the game was that you play a hi-tech hacker that has to shoot your way into the core of a large computer system in a virtual sense. The game was accompanied by intense visuals and a pulsing trance sound track that many found quite psychedelic. This was added to by the accessory that's still available through certain auction sites, the Rez Vibrator. People have speculated about the reason for this being included in the game pack, but the official reason for it is to help you "feel" the music and become much more involved in the overall experience. For some reason, this accessory is apparently quite a favourite with female gamers; god knows why.

Rez

An updated version of this game would simply need some improved visuals, a better quality sound track and perhaps a full body vibrator? Oh I don't know, the developers could really go to town with this feature.
