We already noted this week that even in the third quarter 2009 the fraction of nehalem processors (desktop segment) will not exceed 2%.

Associate reported yesterday that Intel company had to dispatch about 100 000 processors core i7, but motherboard producers do not expect to see increase in the demand up to the third quarter 2009.

In the third quarter of the following year , the desktop segment will have this structure:

• 45 nm core i 7-> 2%;
• 45 nm core 2 Quad - > 16%;
• 45 nm core 2 Duo e8000 - > 20%;
• 45 nm core 2 Duo e7000 - > 18%;
• 45 nm Pentium e5000 - > 30%;
• 65 nm Pentium e2000 - > 5%;
• 65 nm celeron e1000 - > 2%;
• 65 nm celeron 400 - > 3%;
• 45 nm atom 200/300 - > 4%.

LGA 775 platform positions still strong, The inexpensive processors Core 2 Duo e7xxx and Pentium e5xxx will compose almost the half of the desktop processors.

Asus presented recently two new video card based on the graphic processors GeForce 9800 GT and Radeon HD 4870. In this case Associate noted yesterday a new video card  series republic of gamers : EAH4870 matrix, based on the graphic processor AMD radeon HD 4870.

The Cooling system, on comparison with EN9600GT MATRIX, has some changes, caused by the increased heat emission Of radeon HD 4870, in comparison with GeForce 9600GT.

Besides the cooling system, EAH4870 matrix differ from typical Radeon HD 4870 in terms of  some possibilities and higher overclock. The graphic processor operates at 770 MHz frequency  , instead of typical 750 MHz, and the memory at the effective frequency 3680 MHz QDR, instead 3600 MHz QDR.

At the end of September samsung company declared about the accessibility of two-gigabit DDR- 3 microcircuits, produced on 50 nm technology. It is possible to use them for creating memory modules with 4 Gb volume  , in this case the energy consumption level for the DDR 3-1333 regime is reduced by up to 40% in comparison with previous generation memory microcircuits .

On Tuesday samsung company reported that its 2 gigabit DDR- 3 microcircuits received a approval certificate from Intel, which allow to recommend these microcircuits for creating  memory modules, which work with core i7. In this case Intel officially approved the memory modules DDR 3-1066.

Note that these samsung memory microcircuits can work with 1.35-1.5 v, for core i7 processors this possibility has a great significance. According to IDC data studies , in the following year DDR3 memory can compose up to 29% of the entire world , and up to 2011 it will engage up to 72% of the market.

In the composition of finished computers entered the processors phenom X3 and Phenom X4 and the processors core 2 and Core i7.
