Box & Bundle
Please excuse the brown parcel tape all across the packaging in the photos; I tried to remove it but it just ripped off part of the box with it. Still, you get the main impression.
The front names the case of the Silentium T5 with a massive Arctic Cooling bang in the centre. Black and white swirls fill up the rest of the space and seem to be Arctic Cooling’s favourite choice of colours with nearly every single product featuring them – the cases are no different.
The back sees the same swirls but the centre contains a labelled diagram of the T5’s interior showing off all the features.
A number of accessories are bundled with the Silentium T5:
- Screws
- Standoffs
- Cable ties
- Rails (for HDD, DVD and FDD)
- Thermal insulation pads (for HD muffler)
- Air hood
The thermal pads seem a very different approach to HDD insulation. Of course the usual rail installation method is available but one hard drive can be mounted in between these pads so as to keep noise levels and vibrations to an absolute minimum.
The air hood too is not intended for what you might think. Previously we’ve seen this sort of structure used to attach to the back of the case in order to prevent hot air from simply rebounding back into the case. However, these two particular plastic moulded designs can be mounted inside the case so as to help aid air extraction.
