Box ‘n Bundle
The NH-C12P arrives in a cube-shape cardboard box – a little larger than most – which is styled in Noctua’s usual colour scheme. The front and sides of the package are transparent sections revealing key parts of the CPU cooler – such as the fan and heatsink. The array of information on the packaging is quite impressive, with features and specifications completely plastering the box. Although English is the main language on the packaging, a short briefing – written in six further languages – is also on display on the left-side.
Opening the box reveals a much greater quantity of accessories than you’d normally expect to find included with a CPU cooler.
All the accessories – bar the manual – are packaged in there own individual plastic bags.
Bag 1 – Common Parts
- Noctua’s NT-H1 thermal paste
- ULNA and LNA fan cables (reduce fan speeds)
- Various screws and a couple of springs
- Rods for installing the fan to the heatsink
- Self-adhesive rubber strips for fan installation (stops vibrations – apparently)
Bag 2 – LGA 775
- Motherboard back plate
- Mounting clips
- Screws
- Self-adhesive washers
Bag 3 – AM2
- Motherboard back plate
- Mounting clips
- Screws
- Thin washers
- Thick washers
With this huge amount of bits and bobs being included for the installation, one thought immediately jumps to mind; installation is likely to be long winded and potentially, quite difficult. Let’s see shall we?
