Cost

This cooler is not one of the cheapest around, going on some websites for over £30! Those on a tight budget may want to give this cooler a miss as that price tag is higher than a lot of air cooling setups. However the performance of this cooler is relatively good so would be worth it for those who worry less about cost and more about the cooling abilities of the product.

Bits and Box

The box that houses this cooler and its bits and bobs is the bright OCZ orange that is usually on the backing cardboard piece of their blister pack ram modules. It also features a claw/flame like blue section which is intended to be based on the coolers product name, "Tempest".

The side of the box lists the sockets that this cooler is able to fit. The list seems to encompass most current processors apart from the Conroe "Core 2 Duo" line. This is possible because the cooler itself uses several of its own back plates therefore making it a much more versatile cooler.

The back of the box has the specifications of the heatsink and the fan: Fan RPM, airflow rate, heatsink dimensions etc.

The "Bits" included with the Tempest include: Several different motherboard backing plates, a variety of mounting plates to go with the different sockets and a manual to aid installation.
