The Heat Sink and Fan
The fan is a large 120mm beige beast that seems absolutely huge when you first take it out of the box.
The 120mm included fan sat next to a comparatively "Tiny" 80mm fan
The heatsink itself looks very similar to the Thermalright SI120 in design. It has a solid copper core connected by powder dusted heatpipes to the heatsink fins. The upper of which are soldered copper fins, and the lower are made of bonded aluminium. There is also an aluminium fan shroud to the edges of the fins which not only makes the cooler looks good, but makes sure that the airflow of the fan is not disrupted by the movement of air inside the case.

The copper core is topped with a small mat black heatsink of its own, aiding the dissipation of heat away from the core.

Considering so much work had obviously gone into designing the heatsink fins and the heatpipe layout, I was a bit disappointed to see that the core was very poorly lapped. There was very little reflection at all suggesting quite an uneven surface. This can reflect poorly on a heatsinks cooling ability, so we shall see if it brings the performance of the NT06 down much.
