Box 'n bundle
The Xigmatek HDT-S1283 comes in a standard cardboard box with the front revealing the cooler's massive 120mm fan and aluminium fins. The box also shows the specifications and some general photos.
Packaging wise, Xigmatek haven’t used a great deal of padding to protect the cooler, in fact it's simply a stiff inner cardboard frame which it all sits in. However, not a lot of plastic has been used, and when we’re all trying (or should be) to be eco friendly this matters a lot. Altogether the packaging is fine unless you intend on kicking the box around - if the postal service hasn’t done so already.
Inside the box are the various mounting clips for sockets 775, AM2, 754, 939 and 940, a couple of screws for the 775 mounting clips, heat paste, 4 pin to Molex adapter, instructions and a spoiler. The spoiler can be inserted into the fins on the cooler and is supposed to allow you control over the airflow's direction - though it looks a little small to be able to do this effectively.
