The results for this cooler are quite impressive, not only does it beat the stock Intel one but it beats the Akasa AK-961. While the difference in temperatures between the Akasa and this Xigmatek cooler don’t differ vastly, the few extra degrees drop in temperature would add to the overclocking headroom.
Noise Levels
Noise wise, the HDT wasn't bad. Even though I don’t have access to audio measuring equipment, I could tell by ear that this HSF is certainly quieter than both the Akasa AK-961 and Intel stock cooler at full speeds. This is certainly a good factor as we all know how annoying the humming of a computer can be. If you lowered the voltage of the Xigmatek and tweaked the rest of your hardware you could easily achieve an un-noticeable volume from this cooler (mulnaz? - Whoopty).
Cost
Doing a quick Google for this product revealed very few online shops selling this cooler which is certainly a shame as I quite like it. The shops that do sell it have it retailing at between £25 and £30 which is a little on the steep side. However, those with deeper pockets than others won't be phased by this.
