Installation

Installing this heatsink is hardly difficult and regardless of the socket that you are installing on, you’ll have to fasten the appropriate bracket to the bottom of the cooler with the four provided black screws. I’ll be using the AMD mounting system that simply consists of clips that attach to the stock bracket found on your motherboard. If you’ve removed it due to a previous cooler, you’ll have to hunt around for it.

The Intel version however does away with the stock bracket, and there is the usual X shaped backing plate and then a similar X shaped bracket that screws to the cooler itself. Now you plonk it on you motherboard and use the spring screws to join with the backing plate.

Both options are very simple to install, with the AMD version taking the least amount of time and requires less tools.
