Conclusion

Even with the speed that is easily surpassed by other USB drives, I really like the Lexar JumpDrive Secure II. The capacity graph adds a useful extra to the USB disc idea, the size allows for other devices to be used next to it, and the capacity isn’t anything to be laughed at either.

The security software is easy to use and the most user friendly that I’ve seen packaged with a USB disc. The problems start with the speed of the drive which is quite poor especially in our real world test.

If you have a problem with the speed, then have a look at the JumpDrive Mercury, which is the same idea but with a faster chip under the hood.

Pros Cons
Capacity graph Below average performance
Slim design
Easy to use encryption software
