The Vizo Uranus

The Uranus itself is quite a striking piece of kit. It has a bright, metallic blue finish with some funky, white tech graphics along the side.

The lines and text correspond to the connectors on the back of the enclosure and provide some extra labeling for those too lazy to read them from the back.

One side has a large "Uranus" logo which fits in perfectly with the tech styling.

The other panel is, unfortunately, a little more bland...

Looking closer at the finish of the casing, it appears quite reflective. It's not a mirror finish but it's shiny enough to trigger that inbuilt magpie effect we all have.

Changing angle slightly and looking down on the enclosure, we can see that it has a OS/File button (more on this later) and a large clear section; this will light up when the Uranus is powered on.

At the front the clear section continues, and a power indicator points straight to it.

On the underside are a few narrow vents which aides cooling of the HDD inside the Uranus by improving airflow.

At the back of the enclosure are the two possible connectors, USB or eSATA, the fan grill, a power switch and the power connector, labeled GND.
