Conclusion
Although the 8600GTS from Galaxy did produce some good numbers, and although it is pretty much silent (not mulnaz), it's just far too expensive. There isn't a massive performance increase between the GTS and the x1950 Pro and for just a bit more you can get an 8800GTS 320mb which has nearly 50% move performance in some tests and about 100% in FEAR!
All in all, I really can't recommend this card, it's just not powerful enough to warrant its price tag. Ok, if you want to spend exactly £140 (no more no less) then this card isn't a bad choice, DX10, silent etc etc. However, if you want to save some cash, get an x1950 Pro (or even the Galaxy 8600GT and overclock it) or if you don't mind stretching a bit further, get a 8800GTS 320mb.
