The Rest
Cost
The 8800GT is one of the best price/performance cards out there and this MSI card is no exception. One of these bad boys can be yours for a princely £175 inc; not bad at all.
Noise and Cooling
I'm really stuck at 50/50 on this one. Noise wise, at idle the GT is virtually silent which is great. However, once you've been playing a game for a while or loading the GPU in some other fashion, that fan spins up and is almost as loud as some of the original 8800GTS and GTX coolers were. Its a definite improvement but noise levels at load still need work.
As for temperatures, at idle the card sits comfortably at 60 degrees C, but crank up the load and this bad boy hits 80 C. These aren't that impressive but they can be improved. Using Rivatuner to set the fan at 100% will get you 45 at idle and 60 at full load; of course this makes the cooler unbearably loud though.
