Box 'n bundle

The 8800GT's box is a quite typical of other MSI cards we have reviewed in the past, featuring the large MSI logo and abstract picture dominating the front. On this one, there's a man sitting on what seems to be a train, holding a sword, about to be attacked by a hoard of Orcs from Lord of the Rings. While this does reference the 14 day free trial for Lord of the Rings Online: Shadow of Angmar, it still seems strange. Speaking of bundled games, there's another sticker letting you know that you get a full copy of Colin Mcrae Dirt as well.

The back has a large list of multilingual specifications and features, a minimum system requirements list and a small box that tells you of the wondrous yellow DVI sockets this board has; exclusive to MSI too? Wow...

Popping open the box, you can check out all the cool goodies you get with the GT. First up is the LOTRO 14 day free trial, the full copy of Colin Mcrae Dirt, a driver CD, molex to 6pin PCI-e converter, DVI to VGA converter, SVideo cable and an SVideo to component splitter.
