Review Product Close Up

The card itself, features a green PCB, which I admit isn't my favourite colour of GPU - there are just much "cooler" colours out there for graphics cards these days, why green?

While the PCB may not be the most attractive, the cooler that adorns it isn't so bad. It has some sort of 3D, heavily shadowed, green shape which looks quite impressive.

The cooling setup on this GTS 320 is the standard 8 series exhaust cooler. It features a fan at the front that is adorned with a central PNY logo.

This air is then funneled by the large plastic shroud over an internal heatsink. This 'sink, is fed by a side mounted heatpipe which can be seen quite clearly:

Before the exhaust at the back, there is a series of vents which just seems like aesthetic styling really, as they seem to just send the air back into the case. I imagine the cooler would be much more effective without these.

Finally at the rear of the card there is the grilled exhaust slot. Also at the rear of the card are the twin DVI ports and the single sVideo socket.

On the "top" of the card, is a single SLI bridge connector which would allow two of these cards to be connected together for a performance gain. Higher end cards tend to have two of these which suggests future Quad SLI possibilities.

At the front of the card there is a single 6pin PCI-E port. The GTS doesn't need as much power as its bigger brother the GTX, therefore only requiring a single extra power cable slot.

On the back of the card you can see the mounting method for this cooler; low profile screws. This aspect of the card won't cause any mounting issues.
