Results

Interesting results indeed. In the 3Dmark tests the 2600s are very close behind the 8800GTS and trounce everything else. However, as soon as we move into the games which employ Anti Aliasing and Anistropic Filtering - FEAR and HL2, we can see that the 2600s struggle a little. This is particularly evident in the FEAR results as we can see the max frame rate is huge - obviously in an area devoid of AA and AF - yet the minimum FPS is only a little more than the single 2600XT; these cards don't like AA or AF at all!
Noise and Cooling
Noise wise the cards stay relatively quiet but do suffer from the same fan sticking problem that I found with the singular card. However, as before it can be rectified easily with a bit of pressure in the right places.
As for temperature, both cards were a couple of degrees higher than when just a single card is used; both Idling at 65 and loading at 68. Pretty respectable temperatures for stock cooled cards.
Cost
Two of these cards together will cost you around £140 which is actually the same price as a 8600GTS and a full £40-£60 less than a 8800GTS 320mb.Buy now
