Sapphire 2600XT Close Up
The 2600 itself is quite a big card for a mid range product, measuring in at about the same length as a x1900XT.
The cooler on the 2600XT is very similar to the ones that were fitted to their x1950 range. It is made up of a front mounted fan which pulls air in, and because of the shroud around the fan this air is forced backwards across the card and heatsink before being expelled at the rear.
Speaking of the back of the card, here it is with it's twin DVI ports and the obligatory SVideo socket.
On the "top" of the 2600XT are two Xfire (crossfire) bridge connectors which allow you to connect two cards of this type together. It may also, in the future, allow for 3 GPUs to be connected together, or two graphics cards and a PPU (physics processing unit).
