Box & Bundle

Sapphire’s packaging is usually vivid and flamboyant and this is no exception; the intricately detailed lady clad in a waistcoat and heavily armed with dual pistols and a large samurai sword on her back, certainly packs a punch with the Sapphire logo adjacent.

The two black strips at the top and bottom designate that this is indeed the Radeon HD 4770 and a few of the more notable features are displayed at the top: CrossfireX capabilities and 512MB of GDDR5.

The back is just as well styled albeit much more technical in that it outlines a whole sequence of features each with an accompanying image along with the ‘product highlights’.

Sapphire just couldn’t resist a little boasting about having over 1500 awards since 2002 either with a long line of award images!

Finally, the sides are home to the long list of specifications on the system requirements, controller, external connectors and a whole bunch of others.

Quite a number of accessories are bundled with the budget card:

  • Manual
  • Cyberlink PowerDVD CD
  • Cyberlink DVD Suite CD
  • Driver CD
  • DVI to D-sub adapter
  • DVI to HDMI adapter
  • HDTV to Composite dongle
  • 4-pin (molex) to 6-pin power adapter

The molex adapter is certainly a good inclusion as it allows users without PCI-e connections from their power supply to still use the card. All the connectors should allow use with pretty much any display (DVI, VGA or others) and the software is just an added bonus!
