Lost Planet

Lost Planet is a 3rd person shooter developed by Capcom and is the most up-to-date benchmark that we use. It uses the same engine as in other Capcom titles, such as "Dead Rising" and "Devil May Cry 4" known as MT Framework. It features the Havok physics engine and under Windows Vista and with a compatible video card, DirectX 10.
This test is used to compound the results of the other tests with a much more power hungry benchmark. We not only use Lost Planet to determine the performance hit on Frames Per Second (FPS) when adding Anti Aliasing and Anistropic Filtering, but also the effects of changing the resolution from 1280*1024, to 1600*1200.
Low Setting
All settings at full, no AA or AF, HDR at "low", 1280*720.

Smooth sailing so far, but how will it handle the higher the AA and higher resolution tests?
High Setting
All settings at full, 8xAA, 16xAF, HDR at "high", 1280*720.

Pretty smoothly it turns out.
Highest Setting
All settings at full, 8xAA, 16xAF, HDR at "high", 1600*1200.

Even here it manages to keep a relatively respectable frame rate considering this is our most hardy of tests. Dipping below 20FPS is probably not what you want as a gamer, so you might have to lower some other settings a little for 1600*1200 gaming, but it's almost there.
Unfortunately the 8800GTS was unable to handle 16xCXAA at 1600*1200 so those results are missing from this graph.
