Box 'n bundle
The box art is an amalgamation of FatalONEty's red and black styling with XFX's typical lime green. The front is dominated by Jon's good side and a large "8600GT Proffess1onal Edition" logo. I really hope they don't use that "1" style writing everywhere.
The back is a bit more "normal" with features and specifications from a standard 8600GT listed. Looks like the only change with this version is that it's got a large passive cooler with the Fatal1ty logo. We are also told the name of this cooler "Technology". I must admit, I don't think it's the greatest name ever, "Silent But Deadly". Naming your cooler with the same phrase that some people would describe those horribly smelly but quiet farts just seems like a bad call to me.
The bundle you get with the Fatal1ty is also a bit of a let down. All you get is the driver CD, a component splitter and a DVI-VGA converter; not even two! Considering this is a board aimed at gamers, with the world's most recognized gamer on the front of the box, it would have been nice to have seen a bundled game as well.
Update: I have been informed by XFX that this card will in future have Company of Heroes included with it. This fact isn't advertised by all retailers.
