Conclusion
When the 8600GT was launched it was one of the better budget cards out there. Now 6 months on from it's launch there are enough iterations of it to find your perfect one; passive or not, factory overclocked or not. This one overclocks well, is quiet and has a fancy cooler. I doubt the Fatal1ty endorsement was necessary as the performance and looks speak for themselves - and would perhaps be enhanced - without him. However, Jon is there whether you like it or not and this is a good little card that, ok won't play the latest games at high resolutions with everything at max, but the 8600GT is still a great budget GPU, and this one is a good choice.
| Pros | Cons |
| Good bang for buck | Fatal1ty endorsement unnecessary |
| Silent due to passive cooler | Ugly plastic shroud on rear heatsink |
| Good looking |
