Conclusion

In regards to performance, it’s certainly not the best card, but nVidia never set the 9500GT out to beat ATI’s £200 rivalries. This card is designed more towards the ‘average gamer’, someone who has a quick game now and again.

More enthusiasts are looking for ways to silence their pc – myself being one of them. And that’s the real bonus with the Zotac 9500GT, it’s completely silent, this in itself drains a lot of the noise from a system as graphics card coolers tend to be the loudest of the bunch.

But the best thing of all though, is that unlike most passive cards, you don’t have to sacrifice performance for silence. As this card can be overclocked quite heavily, it gives a fair whack of power in games whilst still being totally silent.

When it comes down to it though, I’d thoroughly recommend this card over others if your looking for a fair amount of gaming power and total silence. But realistically, if you’re looking to play all your games smoothly at high settings and really are not bothered about noise, get yourself a more expensive card from ATI.

Bare in mind also that an expenditure of just £20 more will get you the 9600GT which in most cases, performs a lot better. - ED
