Noctua NT-H1

Introduction

Heatpaste is probably the least interesting part of any PC build, but a very much necessary part. Heatpaste sits between your CPU IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader) and the base of your heatsink, ensuring that the conductivity remains high enough to keep your CPU at a working temperature.

For as long as I can remember, Artic Silver has remained the market leader, selling their tubes of silver by the thousands. However, today I have a pair of challengers ready to take AC’s throne. In this review I cover the Noctua attempt; NT-H1 which features instant performance (no curing time) and zero electrical conductivity. Let’s see how it shapes up against the old dog.

Specifications

Noctua's NT-H1 is a pro-grade TIM solution for enthusiasts who demand both exceptional performance and maximum ease of use: A hybrid compound of different micro-particles allows for minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease of use and outstanding long-term stability.
