Conclusion
In summary, the two products both being laptop coolers, they are in actual fact quite different. For one, the sizes are complete opposites from the ‘mini’ Ninja to the ‘world’s largest’ Cryo LX. Therefore, one is most certainly much better for transporting despite the folding feature of the LX.
Another huge variation is the prices. In my opinion, at £45 the NZXT cooler is much too highly priced after all it is only a cooler and an accessory. In comparison, the other is around about £20 which seems more sensible but then again you pay for what you get in terms of size and performance.
Moving on to the cooling aspect and due to the triple 120mm set of fans, the Cryo won this contest but overall for both the products there was not a huge difference in the temperatures from when the laptop was on its own.
However, the two notebook coolers do have some good recurring themes. Firstly, they both help tilt the angle of the laptop or notebook making typing for sustained periods both more comfortable and easier unless of course you prefer a flat keyboard in which case neither of these are what you are looking for.
Moreover, they both offer some cooling performance increase and help to keep the vital components just that extra bit cooler so as to make them run more effectively and help prevent any chance of over-heating and offer multiple USB ports if needed.
Therefore, overall both the NZXT Cryo LX and the Vizo miniNinja II offer something to the user and are most definitely worth a look. The question is how much will you be prepared to pay? The added cost does come with its benefits but the choice is up to you.
