Conclusion
The x38 was designed to be an overclockers board and although the Diamond does pretty well, it doesn't overclock quite as well as we hoped. In the future I imagine MSI will improve the max FSB atainable with BIOS updates and the 470 wall may have even been down to this particular board; others may have better luck.
When it comes down to it, if you want the absolute top possible overclock you might want to look elsewhere, but if you want a motherboard that overclocks well, cools quietly and effectively and comes with an add-on sound card, you could do a lot worse than the MSI x38 Diamond.
| Pros | Cons |
| Overclocks Well | Doesn't overclock as much as expected |
| Excellent cooling setup | Odd colour scheme |
| Plenty of features and great bundle |
