The Akasa UV SATA Cable
The cable has a right angled connector at one end and a straight one at the other. There are metal latches on the Serial ATA connectors which are designed to lock onto the ports of the motherboard and drive. The cabling inside the Akasa seems to be split into two channels running down the cable, which is all coated in thick plastic to stop the cable getting damaged by any sharp edges in your case.
As it says on the box, the Akasa is 60cm in length. A cable of this length is good for both cable management and large cases as it will easily route around a computer case.
Installation
Installation of this product is just like the installation of any standard SATA cable. I attached the right angle connector to my hard disk drive and connected the straight connector to the motherboard. You’ll notice that the cables ‘lock in’ to their ports -unlike other generic cables which can easily slip out of them. Having enough cabling, I was able to route the AKASA around my case for better cable management and hence, better case airflow.
