Conclusion
When it comes down to it, while the Dell may have some better specifications on paper, the NEC is a nicer monitor to use, in almost all situations. It might lose out to the dell in our tests in regards to colour depth when it comes to oranges, and it's input lag might be slightly worse, but it's not really noticeable in most situations (unless a movie has a particularly orange scene). The Multysinc has advantages in blue, white, yellow and red colours and a wider variety of menu options with easy to use buttons. It has a sexy framework with a whole host of connectors, no backlight bleeding and viewing angles that would allow many people to view the screen at once.
The NEC Multisync 24WMGX3 is by far and large, the best TFT monitor I have ever used. It's a fantastic looking display, and any gripes you have with it can be easily altered with fully fledged menus (or even on the remote if you are feeling lazy). The only real let down of the screen is the price. Holy jesus is it expensive.
This product is fully deserving of the extreme award. It's about as good as it gets, but the price is high. If you have the kind of money to afford this, you really will not be disappointed.
