Box 'n bundle

As you would expect, the box like the product itself is a piece of art. A sleek black box is the Mako's preferred form of transport, and it comes adorned with plenty of pretty images to draw in prospective buyers. The "front" of the packaging has a large THX and Razer logo slapped in the corner, with an even bigger Mako one in the opposite. There's also a dominating, shadowy picture of the speakers and their interesting looking touch-sensitive volume control.

One of the sides has some testimonials from who else but our fuzzy haired buddy, Razer guy. This time he's not alone though, the development team from THX have thrown in their two cents about why they think the Mako is a good buy. There's also a picture of the speakers and sub set up around a laptop to give an idea of possible arrangement options.

The "back" has a detailed picture of what you get within, along with some multi lingual specifications and features list corresponding to numbers on the picture.

Once opened, you will be probably be surprised by the mass of cable that comes with the Mako 2.1 system. Fortunately they are all rolled up nice and neat, so there isn't a mass of wires everywhere... yet.

Along with the cables - speaker cabling x 2, EU kettle lead, 3mm jack lead - you also get the touch sensitive volume control, EU-UK converter plug, Razer stickers and a manual or two.

The CD-sleeve sized manual incorporates most of the "Technology" information I detailed above, showing satellite speaker design and the way the omindirectional sound works.
