Unfortunately the Kira has the worst 12v rail of them all with it at a whopping 0.29v over voltage on load. At idle, it’s the loser again with it 0.42v over.
The tests on the 5v rail were a little better with it coming second from worse at load and idle.
The 3.3v rail was much better with it on par with most of the other PSU’s.
Although the rails aren’t the best of all, the efficiency of a unit is an area where this product has really made its show. The X-Spice Kira comes in at around 3rd in total on PF Ratings. Wattage wise it again comes in at around 2nd / 3rd with it not being able to beat the Commander or Gorilla.

The PF rating is a good way to test the efficiency of the unit, closer to the ideal of 1, the better. For a full run down on PF ratings, check out our glossary entry here.
Noise
In regards to noise, the Kira isn’t the quietest power supply of them all as it whines slightly – as though the fan’s bearing are squealing. Therefore it’s certainly not silent, and is slightly off-course from being mulnaz.
Cost
The X-Spice Kira usually sells for around £50; this is the usual pricing for a unit of this wattage.
