Nvidia have announced that as of next week, their high end GPUs from the 8, 9 and 2 series. This will allow owners to experience the advanced physics processing that the new cards will be capable of thanks to the on-board PhysX processor. This technology was purchased by nVidia back in February when they bought out independent PhysX processing unit developers Ageia.

Asus have announced that they are releasing a Wii-like motion controller controller that promises to bring motion gaming to the PC. It features 3D motion, tilt sensing and pointing and will operate in a dual nunchuk way, but without having to link the two parts of the controller.

The Big 3 search engines, Google, Microsoft Live and Yahoo have all banded together to come up with a policy for dealing with search results for China and other countries with similar restrictive policies on what it's citizens are allowed to search for.

Fudzilla have reported on a recent announcement that AMD will be putting Havok onto their graphics cards when it's running "a bit faster." In testing with Physics on GPU in the past, it's resulted in slight slowdowns of GPU power, and AMD wants to avoid that if they can.

Bioshock lead designed Ken Levine has told EuroGamer in an interview that he thinks Bioschok has paved the way for similar FPS/RPG hybrid titles that wouldn't have succeeded before.

Forums have been abuzz with recent talk of EVGA possibly jumping ship and joining the ranks of other ATI partners selling Radeon cards. However, that rumour appears to have been quashed, with many saying that even though EVGA tried, ATI weren't interested as they had to protect their current partners business.

The first beta release of Mozilla's Firefox 3, will be downloadable on August the 19th. It will incorporate the new HTML5 <audio> and <video> tags which could be the advent of some sort of visual standardisation for media on the internet.

The makers of the popular Sam and Max revival series will be releasing their newest point and click adventure title based on the Homestar Runner universe, "Strongbad's Cool Game for Attractive People" on the Wii and PC, simultaneously on August 11th.
