In the past, overclockers had a core set of components they needed to focus on to guarantee stability and performance: CPU, motherboard, memory and GPU. One often overlooked aspect of the intrepid system builder was the PSU. However, as products have increased in performance, so has their power usage, with GPUs especially needing hundreds of watts just on their own, PSUs have become far more important. With that in mind, InWin have sent over their Commander 750w PSU. Let's see how it holds up.

Apparently just as TheInquirer predicted, it is expected that in the next few hours AMD will officially announce that they have split their company into two sectors. One to deal with the fab side of things, and the other to focus purely on design. Details remain sketchy about how this will affect global markets, but what's for sure is that this split is costing a lot of money.

Fudzilla's team have had a chat with nVidia about what the future holds for the company, what they plan to do to further develop their CUDA platform, and whether they'll be able to compete with their chipsets, with the market being so heavily dominated by Intel nowadays.

The RIAA has continued it's strong arming of RealDVD, the guys behind Real Player, and has managed to force the DVD copying software off the shelves. The problem they have with the boys at Real, is that it allows people to copy their own DVDs. They think it counts as stealing, if you copy something you already have.

The guys over at Shacknews have got their hands on the first few levels of Epic Game's upcoming hit title, Gears of War 2. They tested out some of the new weapons, the new execution moves, but what seems to have really impressed though are the epic fight scenes, seen in the already released trailers.

Although ATI seem to have taken the throne for high performance graphics cards, there’s still a vast demand for mid-range cards. This demand is in favour of nVidia, who offer some great mid-rangers for low prices. One card which comes with a low price tag and fairly good specs is the 9500GT. Today we have Zotac’s version of this card, let’s give it a whirl.

Plenty of GPU reviews today, though it's a bit biased in the favour of ATI, not a single nVidia card is present. Even the lone motherboard review is based on an AMD chipset. Jeez.

Kingston and Intel have shaken hands and decided to work together to market their SSDs. The SSDs from Intel have been rated at read speeds of 240MB per second and write speeds of up to 170MB per second.

The SSD market is still maturing, but with many standard HDDs only kicking out around 50MB per second read speeds, perhaps new SSDs like these could start to turn the tide.

Two names already announced were Foxconn and Club3D. However, Fudzilla have managed to find out who the rest will be: ECS, Biostar and Albatron.

The last 3 on that list are more motherboard manufacturers than GPU ones, but that hasn't stopped them feeling a bit sore at the snub. However, nVidia claims this was necessary in order to protect the top 3rd party GPU sellers during the "tough times" currently.
