Chris Taylor Comments on PC Gamer Chris Taylor, President of Gas Powered games and creator of old school classic Total Annihilation, and recent hit title, Supreme Commander, has made his thoughts known on the current state of PC gaming, and surprisingly - as most developers seems to be trashing it - it's very positive.

Chris believes that PC gaming has just gone through a renaissance of sorts, with a direction change of sorts now that the hardware revolution of dedicated GPUs has begun to slow down.

Friday, August 29th 13:01 GMT (149 views)
nVIdia and ATI shacking up? Recently over at NGOHQ some clever dick managed to get PhysX running on an ATI 3850 card. However, it's now emerged that after further development, the guys at Hardspell have managed to get an nVIdia 9600GT running right alongside a 3850 card with the nVidia card handling the visuals and the ATI GPU taking care of the physics calculations.

Not only this, but significant security updates and built-in developer tools have many wondering whether previous Mozilla fans will be moving back to the big, blue browser.

nVIdia to enable SLI on x58 In the past if you wanted to run dual GPUs on an Intel based motherboard, you'd have to go with ATI hardware, as nVidia have always made a big point of saying you had to go with their chipsets in order to run twin nVidia GPUs.

Thursday, August 28th 17:20 GMT (96 views)
Nvidia Makes Fancy Water Effects For years water effects have come on leaps and bounds, and while it might "seem" more real, more often they are complicated moving textures that just seem, like real water; Bioshock was notorious for this.
