Plenty of GPU reviews today, though it's a bit biased in the favour of ATI, not a single nVidia card is present. Even the lone motherboard review is based on an AMD chipset. Jeez.

Kingston and Intel have shaken hands and decided to work together to market their SSDs. The SSDs from Intel have been rated at read speeds of 240MB per second and write speeds of up to 170MB per second. The SSD market is still maturing, but with many standard HDDs only kicking out around 50MB per second read speeds, perhaps new SSDs like these could start to turn the tide.

Two names already announced were Foxconn and Club3D. However, Fudzilla have managed to find out who the rest will be: ECS, Biostar and Albatron. The last 3 on that list are more motherboard manufacturers than GPU ones, but that hasn't stopped them feeling a bit sore at the snub. However, nVidia claims this was necessary in order to protect the top 3rd party GPU sellers during the "tough times" currently.

The Sequel to Rare's hit "gardening" title, Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise, has hit Xbox Live in Demo form. The new game features are co-operative play, mini games and XBL support. In a quote from XBL spokesperson, Major Nelson:
The Pinata Central database has been ruined by Professor Pester and his band of Ruffians. It's your job to restore the data by collecting, customizing, & caring for over 100 different pinata species in Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise."

Information has come out, that raising the memory voltage over 1.65v can actually damage the Nehalem CPU on an x58 platform. This is of course, slightly above the standard 1.5v that DDR3 memory runs out. However, due to Intel CPUs overclocking by relatively large amounts over the last few years, memory has been scaled accordingly with plenty of OC RAM kits being available, with up to 2.1v. This then presents a problem for the overclocking crowd, will Nehalem be overclockable.

Few interesting products being reviewed today with a nice wide variety of different bits and bobs being looked into. However, the biggest and baddest review of today is MetKus look at 6 different memory modules in a big DDR3 roundup.

China has been found to have been censoring politically sensitive conversations over the instant messaging service through the internet communications tool, Skype. The company has always been aware that China was censoring certain words and phrases, but they are concerned that this information has been discovered, and therefore by not safeguarding this information, the Chinese government has helped break Skype's data protection scheme.

An insurance company over in the US - Allstate - has said that they will be conducting trials of gamers, and non gamers to see if playing games in old age can reduce the decline in reaction time of elderly drivers. Older drivers are well known to be more likely to crash after 60 years old, and with previous research showing that gaming can improve reaction times of people who suffered from stroke, perhaps it can do the same for the elderly.
