EA have released new screenshots and trailer for their upcoming motion-board based skating title, "Skate." The game will debut on the Wii and DS this Autumn.

For years water effects have come on leaps and bounds, and while it might "seem" more real, more often they are complicated moving textures that just seem, like real water; Bioshock was notorious for this. However, thanks to nVidia's new "PhysX on GPU" technology, this could be a thing of the past as their fluid physics allow for much more realistic liquid movements.

Will Write has said that he has been quite impressed with the Explicit Spore Creatures, or Sporn, that has been created by users of the Spore Creature Creator. "Some of it's really good for what they were shooting for," Wright told the Associated Press. "It's amazingly explicit, especially when those creations are animated. We just have to make sure those people aren't messing up the experience for others."

The game in production from Futuremark Game Studios will use PhysX technology to "bring the zero-gravity atmosphere to life." This isn't a big surprise as Futuremark were fans of PhysX technology even when it was owned by Ageia, with PhysX being purportedly supposed to have been used in 3Dmark06 and Vantage.

Ubisoft have announced that thanks to the strong dollar and pound, Europe is a more lucrative market for them. This could mean more focused European titles thanks to the fact that they are garnering over 5% more revenue in the UK.

Japan's largest shipping company, Nippon Yusen KK, has decided to spend 1.37 million dollars on developing solar technology to power it's biggest container ships. However, don't get too excited as even when fully developed in 2 years time, they estimate that they will be able to offset 2% of the ships power to solar. In the near future, that figure will only be around 0.2%.

Futuremark, makers of the popular graphics card benchmark, 3Dmark, have announced that their game production company, FutureMark Game Studios is currently producing a title called "Shattered Horizon." The game is a futuristic FPS title that's based in an enormous asteroid field after explosions at a mining base.
